Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome
How to overcome “not good enough”.

Imposter Syndrome is rooted in something we learned about in Coaching School that we called your gremlin.

Basically, it’s your ego or inner-self trying to keep you safe. That ego of yours was good for you when you were a kid and it was trying to keep you from pain or shame.

Now that same ego of yours fuels your inner pain and shame.

If you’ve got something big to accomplish on your horizon you need to have the Imposter Syndrome in check.

In this article on Psychology Today, by David Burkus has a ton of great details.  There are links to David’s socials there and a video that digs into this nemesis.

What You Need To Know:

  1. Imposter Syndrome is real
  2. It comes from your EGO/INNER SELF and is trying to keep you safe
  3. The choice is yours to listen or not – only YOU can decide **uses best Smokey The Bear voice**

Retraining that “Gremlin” inside you is the key to putting the gremlins to work FOR you.
